Dozen.

So, we moved.  It wasn't a big move - just down the street really but it we're so glad we did.  Our new place is bigger, newer, cuter, FENCED, and right next door to one of my best friends(here's her rad cooking blog).  And this is our 12th place in ten years.  Why do we move so often?  I really don't know - there must be a part of us that likes it.  It's a chance to purge, change, grow, and start anew.   But mostly, it's just awful.  Speaking of awful...

Here is a photo from the Midway 15k I ran in with some great friends.  We left Friday night and made a girls trip out of it.  Which means I have a really nice husband who let me leave during the thick of things with this move.  The Wasatch Back is in three weeks and this race was kind of a prep for that.   (BTW - will this baby weight ever go away?  I want to enjoy my summer!)  Anyhow, with me in the pic is Callie, who I mentioned above - and Sheree - whom I love as well.  Like, seriously love.   She ran really well and while she was going she was snapping pictures with her camera.  So cute.  My BFF Marisa was there too but I don't like the way I look in the picture with her.  Isn't that terrible?

Even Weird Homeschoolers Have Field Day...

I have to say that in elementary school field day was MY FAVORITE day of the year.  Snow cones(which I never had money for but usually bummed off of a friend), hot dirt, the 100 yard dash (which I often won), and no desks.  Memories like that make me wonder if homeschooling is a mean thing to do to my kids(only for a moment).  But this year we attended our first homeschooling field day and it was great.

And I was just snapping here - irresponsible photography - and caught this cute little hug.  Brothers gotta hug!  Elijah won first place overall for the sack race.  We're really hoping some day he can get a sack racing scholarship to one of the top schools in that sport. 

Meghie came with her darling kids since she is planning on homeschooling with K12 too...it was a good time.  And yes, Andrew and Flynn dominated the tug-of-war.

I love my K12 program.  I love the teachers, the programs, the free stuff, and the fact that I get to be with my boys so much.  I love them all immensely and they all make me so proud to call myself their mother.  I don't deserve them - really, I don't.  I love you, boys.

I want to win this nesting box!

As of now my hens are nesting in a cardboard box.  I know it's ghetto but it works.  I didn't know what I might do until I saw this today...

Isn't it great?  It even has a fold down roost.  I think my 8 hens would love it...don't you?  So, I've entered the giveaway for it - so should you!
