Sundance

Today we went and visited Weston at Sundance where he works.  And it was beautiful, and the leaves were starting to change, and it made my heart ache.  Sundance has been one of my favorite places on earth for a long time now.  When I was at BYU we'd drive up when we needed a break so we could smell the crisp air and listen to the wind blowing through the aspen trees.  Then when Mike and I were first married we worked just above it at Aspen Grove and visited a little more than our pocketbook allowed.  While we lived in faraway Texas, it was my Eden and I dreamed of returning to it someday.  And now we are leaving.  And the leaves are changing.  It reminded me of the passage of time and that a season of change is upon my little family.  I am excited but I will miss the summer we've had here.  It will be a summer we'll never forget.  That being said... here's Sundance.

The Vernon Family

What a lovely evening I had with the Vernons.  The Lehi light was perfect and golden and the air was just hinting at Autumn.  I loved it.  AND it's not every day that you get to photograph a former Miss Lehi.   That's right, Cyd - I saw you on the wall at the Legacy Center!  Thanks, guys!

Date Night

My little brother, who also happens to be one of my best friends, got engaged last week.    He is going to marry the perfect girl for him, Alison.  She is the perfect addition to our family and I can't wait to spend more time with her.  Last night we went out to the dollar theater(Movies 8) together but had some time to kill beforehand so we hung in Weston's backyard.   I love Provo, especially Provo in September. 

p.s.  Alison has THE most beautiful wedding ring ever.  Weston got it at a shop in SLC that sells vintage jewelry.  The guy said this ring was from the 1920's.  I love it.

p.p.s.  Mike and I both look really strange but I just think we should make an appearance on this blog every once in a while.
